What a weekend!

One of my co-workers at the bookstore asked me if I had any hours that I wanted to give-up. Since finals are this week, I thought that I could take Saturday off and study. This is the first Saturday that I have not had to work at all in a very long time. It felt so good!! I started working at the bookstore in 2004, and I have worked Saturdays for all, but about 5 months that were not consecutive. I was so excited!

Greg and I are both very busy, and we really only get to see each other for a few hours each night. So Greg went all out!!

We went to Olive Garden after we both got off of work on Friday. Yumm, we got these little lasagna appetizers that we love. I love Olive Garden's salad and breadsticks. I got some mushroom ravioli covered in a cream sauce, and Greg (surprise, surprise) got lasagna. Mmm it was so tasety!! We then went home and played a little bit of Borderlands, and finished our disc of Madmen.

Saturday, we slept in!!! We both cuddled in bed and watched the latest episode of "The Seeker" in bed. Greg got up and made breakfast, and we ate breakfast in bed! I felt so spoiled. We played some more Borderlands, and finally got ready for the day. We made our menu for the week and went grocery shopping. We just kind of relaxed for the rest of the day.

For Sunday dinner I made lasagna, foccocia bread, and some salad. We were just finishing up dinner when we decided to start a game of scrabble on our DSes...DSi(whichever :) ). We were listening to Transiberian Orchestra in the background. One of our favorite songs came on when Greg put down is DS, and took my hand. He asked me to dance. He pulled me over closer to the music, and we danced, and laughed and hugged. It was the sweetest thing ever.

We finished our game of scrabble and I started heading into the bathroom to get ready for bed. I heard the song change to one of my favorites. Then Greg appeared, one hand on the middle of his chest and the other out-stretched to me. We danced to another song, and to the one after that. Greg held me close and sang to me while we danced. Most days I really cannot believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing man at my side, who loves me no matter what.

We finished off the night watching an episode of Jericho while Greg put the hood up on his hoodie and did the "Alien dance", as we have come to call it.

What a great hubby, what a great weekend!!

Megan, the show is called the Legend of the Seeker. It is based on the Terry Goodkind Series with the Wizard's First Rule. It is so good, and I would recommend to check it out to anyone!!
