Can't take it anymore

I just got back from the gym where I got on the treadmill for the last 15 minutes. I flipped through the channels until I got to the news. They were talking about the facebook poll that asked if president Obama should be killed. The man on the television was talking about how racism has a long history, and how we cannot undo in 25 years what has been done in the last 400. I am sick to death of the whole racism issue. Just because someone does not like president Obama, doesn't mean that they are a racist. I agree 100% that the poll was out of line, but I think they know it was just someone trying to be funny or have a bit of (stupid, yes) fun. The bottom line is that if this person was really dangerous, then chances are, they would not be posting something for the world to see.

And our nation isn't even officially 400 years old. So I think that if they are going to blame anyone, then they should blame the english for starting the whole thing. And if you going to do that, then there are many other parts of the world that you could blame for the same thing for hundreds of years for all of our ancestors. Does it really do anybody any good?

Greg was telling me the other day about how he heard on the radio that they were saying the white babies were even showing signs of racism at six months old. ~Give me a break. I would really like to know how they are testing that.

Anyway, I just think it is a cheap argument and I'm sick to death of hearing it. I'm tired of hearing people whine about this great nation, including our president. We should be proud of this nation; all that we have done and how far we have come. We are not perfect for sure, but I don't think whining gets anybody any where. And it's not supposed to be easy, that is what makes it meaningful.

I just can't take anymore bashing on the way we live, the way we think. We do all need to get along and obey laws and treat people with respect, but on that same token, we should be able to disagree with policies all we want and not be called racist because we do so. How about some of that same respect back. We are a free people, and a lot of people have sacrificed greatly for it, so show a little gratitude! Blah, anyway. God bless America!
